Short answers to what golfers ask a fitter most.
Why launch angle matters
2 min read
Carry comes from launch and spin working together. Too little launch and the ball never gets up to carry; too much spin and it balloons and falls short. That's why your fit starts from your speed and your ball flight, not from the loft printed on your current driver.
The truth about spin

Low spin is only faster if you can launch it. Below about 95 mph, most golfers lose carry in a low-spin head. You give up forgiveness for spin reduction you probably don't need. We'd rather get your launch right first.
Do you actually need a new driver?

Sometimes not. If your head type already suits your swing, the right shaft and length can matter more than this year's model. When your current driver is already a strong fit, we'll say so. Keep your driver.
